Who is allowed to attend games night?

We exist to provide games nights for an LGBTQ+ crowd. All are welcome and we’re a lovely friendly crowd!

How much does it cost to attend?

You’ll be asked to make a £2 donation each games night by contactless. These funds help us buy the latest and greatest games!

How many games does BGE own?

Too many! And ever growing. We estimate we currently own around 150 games. We are experts at selecting which games come to each event and train our attendees to play new games.

Where is games night hosted?

With our lovely friends at The Breakfast Club Spitalfields, a two-minute walk from Liverpool Street Station.

What times does games night start and finish?

We open every two weeks at 7pm. We’d recommend you aim to arrive by 7:30pm for the best chance of joining a game right away. We close at 11pm and will come round at 10:30pm to remind you to start finishing up any games you’re playing.

Do you serve food and drink?

We are fortunate enough to have The Breakfast Club Spitalfields as our venue. They have a delicious food menu and a full bar for you to order from while you play. As the venue is an operating restaurant, please do not bring in your own food or drinks.

What’s the story behind Board Games East?

We were started by our founder, Matt Watts, in 2022. Starting with small gatherings at Matt’s home and local pubs, we are now a whole team and have been through a number of venues before finally settling on our home at The Breakfast Club.

What if I don’t know how to play many games?

Don’t worry at all! Most of our new attendees come without a great deal of experience. Someone on your table will help you get to grips with new games and we have all sorts available from party games through to more complex long-play games. It’s really easy to find a game that works for you.

Are you dog friendly?

We're more than dog friendly, we absolutely adore dogs. Please make sure if you bring your dog they will be comfortable in a busy environment with lots of noise, and keep your dog with you throughout the night, and we'll be happy to welcome your fur baby!
