Alex Cearns has been surrounded by animals since birth. It was typical for her to keep company with dogs, guinea pigs, horses, rabbits, bottle-fed lambs, and other farm animals as a child in Australia, where she often helped her mother rescue and care for a wide array of injured kangaroo joeys, birds, and other creatures until they could be released back into their natural habitat. Today, Alex is a professional pet and animal photographer and owner of Houndstooth Studio in Perth, and she has two main goals in her photography: to show, through her imagery, how beautiful animals are, and to support, promote, and endorse animal rescue organizations.
