Not many founders can admit that luck played a role in their successful story. Yet, Sergiy Korolov and I beg to differ. The question is how you define luck. Recently, we talked with Daniel Robbins  about our product and business journey at Railsware. It made me reflect: maybe you don’t need luck in the classic sense. What you really need is the ability to manage your own psychology to make luck work for you. That is, some things can happen only in a certain moment, or in a proper place, or with the right proposition and the right people meeting each other. Take something like the “Don’t quit” idea. Sounds simple and logical, right? But it only clicks when you actually trace it through your past experience, when you see how not quitting shaped what you built. A simple example. Some day, something valuable falls under a tree. The question is—are you standing under that tree when it happens? If you didn’t quit, you can catch it. Anyway, it was a great discussion where we managed to cover lots of stuff, from treating your Ops as products to preventing burnout. Dev teams often mistake surface polish for strategic clarity. ​​A sleek UI might win design awards, but if it’s built on shaky assumptions, it’s just an expensive mirage. European Startup Investment Breakdown by Country (Feb 26) As of February 26, Poland leads in total funding, driven largely by InPost’s major round. The United Kingdom follows, powered by significant raises from Nscale, Wayve and Ineffable Intelligence. Germany ranks close behind, with Helsing standing out among a wave of large rounds. Across these markets, capital is flowing strongly into AI, fintech, climate and deep tech. France and Finland are also showing solid momentum, supported by notable growth stage and deep tech investments.
