Architected and executed a full-cycle, 5-strategy MLOps pipeline to tackle the Kaggle Jigsaw Competition, demonstrating an end-to-end research and engineering workflow. This project bridged my background in software architecture with SOTA, "echelon" AI techniques.

Architected and executed a full-cycle, 5-strategy MLOps pipeline to tackle the Kaggle Jigsaw Competition, demonstrating an end-to-end research and engineering workflow. This project bridged my background in software architecture with SOTA, "echelon" AI techniques.

Key Achievements & Methodologies:

Strategy 1 (Foundation): Designed a robust, modular MLOps framework with reusable Python scripts (configs.py, training_utils.py) and MLflow for experiment tracking, enabling rapid, reproducible iteration.

Strategy 2 (Data-Centric AI): Engineered a data pipeline to process a 54GB, 300M+ comment Reddit corpus. Used this to perform Continued Pre-training (MLM) on a roberta-base model, creating a specialized model that became my top-performing asset (0.87 OOF AUC).

Strategy 3 (Stacking): Deployed an advanced ensemble, training a LightGBM meta-model on the out-of-fold (OOF) predictions from a 6-model base layer (incl. DeBERTa, RoBERTa) to capture non-linear relationships.

Strategy 4 (Research & Innovation): Architected and tested a novel, REFRAG-inspired "supervisor" pipeline. This experiment (a successful failure) provided critical insights into the limitations of using semantic similarity as a proxy for task relevance.

Strategy 5 (SOTA Fine-Tuning): Successfully fine-tuned a 7-billion-parameter Qwen2 model using QLoRA. This required deep debugging and implementation of a full stabilization stack (bfloat16, paged_adamw_8bit optimizer, and warmup_ratio) to solve NaN gradient explosions and a custom, memory-efficient inference loop to deploy the sharded model on a single GPU.
