As Housing Australia Future Fund (HAFF) opens up new opportunities for medium-density housing, the emphasis is shifting toward solutions that can deliver certainty across multiple sites and building types - and toward delivery partners who can bring scale, reliability and proven multi-storey capability. Modscape + Modbotics’ approach aligns with this need, offering up to five-storey compliance, robust fire, acoustic and thermal performance, and the control of an offsite manufacturing process that delivers consistent, repeatable outcomes. It’s a pathway that turns design into delivery with certainty and at scale.

About us
At Modscape + Modbotics, we design and deliver architecturally crafted modular buildings across Australia – combining creative design, advanced offsite manufacturing, and a deep commitment to sustainability. We work across residential and commercial sectors, creating spaces that are not only delivered faster but also designed to work smarter. Every project is guided by our four core pillars – design, innovation, sustainability, and people – ensuring each build reflects our commitment to smart, beautiful, and responsible design. For almost 20 years, Modscape has been at the forefront of modular design innovation – proving that prefabrication can deliver both design excellence and environmental responsibility. From day one, we’ve shown that modular is about far more than speed. It’s about creating high-quality, beautifully designed spaces that enhance the way people live, work, learn, and play. Innovation drives everything we do – from embracing Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) to developing Modbotics, our in-house robotics line that powers our work. By blending advanced technology, sustainable materials, and architectural craftsmanship, we’re not just building for the future – we’re shaping it.

As the school year comes to a close, we’re looking back on one of six key education projects delivered in the Northern Rivers: Broadwater Public School for School Infrastructure NSW. Built using 23 volumetric modules and 9 pop-up roof modules, it’s a strong example of how Modern Methods of Construction deliver high-quality learning spaces in months, not years. For education providers, the benefit is clear: new facilities are delivered fast without disrupting day-to-day learning. There’s a growing appetite among architects to understand modular not just as a delivery model, but as a way to push design further. We recently hosted the team from Williams Boag Architects [WBa] for a walkthrough of our facility, an opportunity to dig into how digital modelling and advanced manufacturing shape the spaces we create. If your studio is exploring modular and wants to understand the process, please reach out to us.

We’re delighted to be featured in Sanctuary Issue 73, a special edition dedicated to prefab and modular design. Our award-winning Burradoo home in the Southern Highlands of NSW appears in Prefab Power: Reinventing the Australian Home, which explores how offsite construction is reshaping the way Australians build. Modbotics, our fully automated production line, is also featured as part of this next chapter in Australian construction. A thoughtful read on how Modern Methods of Construction are influencing design, performance and the delivery of the next generation of Australian homes. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gjrzmRYe

A pleasure to welcome the Hon. Dale Last MP, Queensland Minister for Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing, Regional and Rural Development, and the team from the Gold Coast Manufacturing Hub to our Queensland facility. The visit provided an opportunity to showcase our manufacturing capability and how we’re delivering innovative, large-scale projects across Queensland — combining Design for Manufacture & Assembly (DfMA) principles with a skilled local workforce and to build the next generation of housing and infrastructure.

It was a great morning diving into Modern Methods of Construction at the Property Council breakfast. Our Queensland General Manager, Robbie Claase, joined industry leaders on the panel for a valuable conversation on how MMC is reshaping Queensland’s construction landscape.
💡 It was all about MMC this morning at our Modern Methods of Construction - The Future of Property or a Fantasy? breakfast, sponsored by RCP Australia. Assistant Minister Rebecca Young outlined the government's approach to MMC - particularly through its social housing and QBuild program - as well as the Queensland Government's desire to see a greater capacity for MMC and the role the private sector will play in delivering MMC in Queensland. Architectus CEO Ray Brown then showcased a series of innovative methods and materials available in construction, plus the projects using them across asset classes and locations. Ray was joined on the panel by Leah Lang, Queensland Government Architect, and Robbie Claase from Modscape + Modbotics who spoke to some of the economic, perception and regulatory challenges facing MMC uptake. Attendees also learnt more about the benefits of MMC across factors including cost, sustainability, delivery timeframes and a reduction in building defects. Robbie also shared some early insights from Modscapes new facility in Archerfield. Thanks to Greg Atkinson for moderating this important discussion and series sponsor RCP Australia for their ongoing support.
