The swifts left us at some point the week before last (it always takes me a while to realise that the sky has become quiet again), so summer is waning, yet we’ve just been hit with another 30°C+ heatwave and the ground is cracking once more. The water butt that I use to fill the chickens’ drinker - and for mixing developer - is bone dry. I have a lot to catch up on. This dispatch is a collection of notes and half-formed thoughts from the past half-year or so, up to about May. A lot more to say…
