  • Our Mission

Let’s Talk Palestine provides accessible, fact-based, and comprehensive education on all topics connected to the Palestinian struggle for liberation.

We serve the global movement for the liberation of Palestine by not just educating, but empowering everyone to challenge false narratives and mobilize for meaningful change. As an educational media hub, we strive for our content to always be objective, but never neutral.

  • Our Vision

To be an impactful platform in the Palestine liberation movement, fostering an educated, critical, and united global community.

We envision a platform that transforms discourse by creating reliable alternatives to media complicit in injustice, amplifying authentic voices that inspire understanding and, ultimately, action.

Our vision is fulfilled when we witness a free Palestine, from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea. When Palestinians can wake up in Haifa, meet in Jerusalem, and share meals in Gaza. When the need for resistance fades and life prevails, finally rendering our work obsolete.

OUR VALUES

In the face of much misinformation on Palestine, we value integrity.
It is not enough to hate and believe in the past to make a revolution. Hatred and belief in the past are sufficient prods for the rebellion phase. We must love and be future-oriented if we wish to carry out the revolution.
- Ghassan Kanafani

Accessibility: The defining pillar of our work. We believe in making education accessible to all. We draw on existing bodies of rich works and retell their ideas in simple, digestible ways without compromising on clarity and depth.

Objectivity, not Neutrality: The only radical thing about our non-neutrality is our honesty – there is no unbiased source, and we are no different. To equate “both sides” on Palestine as having equally valid opposing narratives is itself a biased approach. Our view is clear: Oppression and freedom are not equally legitimate. There are no two sides to this story. Our work aims to make that clear by relying on objective facts and nuanced analysis.

Non-Partisan: We do not endorse any politicians or parties anywhere. We criticize actions and views as necessary, no matter who they come from. We put our faith in people. We have only each other, and that is all we need.

Hope: It feels like doomerism and despair are everywhere today. But we believe that a better world for everyone is possible – and that a free Palestine is an essential part of it.

Love: Our work is driven by a radical love for what is possible. We know what the world could look like in different hands. This love is at the heart of what we do and what we are trying to preserve. It’s not enough to know what we don’t want – death, oppression, violence. Anger can only take us so far, and there’s no point in stopping halfway to Jerusalem – we would be stranded in the desert.

Collective Strength: The Palestinian movement is possibly the world’s most diverse, drawing hundreds of millions around the globe of all backgrounds, ideologies, and beliefs. We aim to leverage this strength by uniting the global community around a shared narrative and common language.

Our Story

Let’s Talk Palestine (LTP) was started in September 2020 as a small Instagram page by a young Palestinian student. As annexation of the West Bank loomed and mainstream media misrepresented Arab-Israeli normalization as “peace,” he grew frustrated with inaction. He saw the need for a Palestinian-led platform to educate people in ways that actually spoke to and engaged them.

The page took off almost instantly, resonating with thousands of people. And so, he brought together a small team of like-minded volunteer writers. Soon after, the 2021 Unity Intifada began, marking a watershed moment in growing public support for Palestine in the West.

We slowly worked to leverage these shifts until October 7, 2023. We watched in shock and horror as Israel and its Western backers unleashed a genocide on Palestinians in Gaza. We worked day and night to expand our ability to educate, mobilize, and combat deadly propaganda. Our team expanded from 13 volunteers to 130+, spanning five continents. Our work now includes seven languages, the world’s most-streamed Palestine podcast, daily news updates, Gaza fundraising, and more.

Knowledge is the foundation of all movements. The actions that many people around the world have taken – protests, disruption, boycotts, encampments, lobbying, fundraising, direct action – would not be possible without the needed knowledge. We’re honored that our work has played a significant part in educating tens of millions of people.

After over 4 years as a purely volunteer collective, we saw our immense impact but also our challenges and further potential. After many months of careful consideration and deliberation, we took a decision to work towards sustaining ourselves as a full-time endeavor. Our team is set to become hybrid, creating some full-time roles along with our volunteers who have always been the pillar of our team and work.

As doomerism and despair spread in the post-truth era, we aim to provide mass accessible education based on integrity and transparency. The tunnel may be long and dark, but we see light at the end for us all, reflecting off the golden dome in Jerusalem.

Everyone carries bias. We are surrounded by education systems, media, and political figures who provide a biased, and often anti-Palestinian, take on Palestine. Let’s Talk Palestine offers well-researched background on Palestinian history and current events regarding Israeli occupation, apartheid, genocide, and oppression. Our goal is not to be neutral, but to provide nuanced, fact-based, and non-partisan analysis on Palestine.
