Our Policies
No-Censorship Policy
Our guiding message of no censorship means we will not dismiss any submissions based purely on an idea that may be deemed “inappropriate” or “controversial” by some. However, if one does choose to touch on such topics, they should add to the work and the reader’s understanding of the work — just like any other literary devices.
The aim of our no-censorship policy is to allow artists and writers to freely express themselves, without the fear of their work being turned away. However, we will not publish any works that are racist, queer-phobic, misogynistic, transphobic, ableist, etc.
Publication Policies
The Journals of Justice asks for First North American Serial Rights (FNASR) to publish, as well as the permission to permanently archive an author/artist’s works online. If one does decide to submit their previously published JoJ work online, we ask that you credit us as your work’s first appearance in a publication. Following publication, all rights would revert back to the contributor–as we want to encourage the proliferation of student’s writing.
Disclaimer Note: The viewpoints represented in our journals are not those of the organization, but rather those of our contributors.
