About
Myself
Front-End Junior Developer and life-long learner. I fluently speak three languages, worked on Makeup and Special Effects for Cinema and TV and have a degree in Visual Arts.
Graduated from Makers Academy in Summer 2020, where I learnt Test Driven Development, Agile procedures, and Object Oriented Programming like Ruby on Rails and Javascript. I really enjoy the constant challenges and continuous learning process my career change involves.
I would love to find a job as a Front-End or Full-Stack developer in an environment that supports my learning so I can keep growing and become a better developer everyday. Currently based in London, willing to stay, but also open to new horizons.

Second Life
Web App based on Google Maps API focused on giving objects no longer wanted by their owners a new home. As a user you will see a list of items and their locations, so you can easily go and rescue those objects and give them a Second Life.
We also provide the possibility to change into a map view, which will display an interactive map with a marker for every posted object, making it easier to search by area.

Hackathon Game
Project built for #hackforheroes, a 2.5 days hackathon organized by Makers. The main idea was creating a game to make the lockdown time pass a bit faster while tributing our key workers.
The first day we agreed the global mantra for this pandemic is 'We are all in this together' so making the game inclusive was our goal.
We can select the skin tone and gender of our doctor and will help him jump over the virus while changing continent on every level.

Mix Tape
Makers final project, built in 10 days with no prior experience on React or APIs.
Uses Spotify to authenticate users and lets you select your friends from a list to create a combined playlist with your group's top tracks from Spotify.
The playlist gets saved in Spotify and in our database, so it can be played directly.

Currency Converter
App made in two and a half days as a technical assignment for a Swedish company.
The request was a simple web interface built in React that searched for countries and display its full country name, capital, population and currency. Then the user can enter an amount in Swedish Krona and get the amount converted into the selected country currency.
I first build all the functionality, making calls to two different APIs to retrieve all the required data after user input. Then, for the styling, I made a simple and intuitive interface using the company's corporate colours and fonts.

Welcome to my working life, from television sets to baking bread, with a fun stop as a Christmas elf in Finland.
Makeup, Hair and Costume
Perseverance, patience, attention to detail and a very strict time management and organization skills are the most valuable skills I got from this part of my job experience.
It is also a great practice for teamwork and delegation, especially when working in big projects.
Tourism
Team management, customer care and being able to react fast to any unexpected situation were key skills in these roles.
I had a lot of responsibility, teaching new team members, big groups of customers and a tight schedule while paying attention to every detail to make sure they had the best experience.
Hospitality and Retail
Communication skills, self-awareness and empathy are very important to deal with problematic customers or with your coworkers and make shifts run smoothly.

This has driven me to volunteer for different organizations, like the ones listed below.
