Just hilarious

So. I went to my Mom´s house, into the living room, opened up all the drawers, got my loot and left!

My Mom even helped me!

And she will get the loot back on Christmas, digitized. Not that she knows yet.

Here is a wee part of it, I love to look at those days long gone!

My Dad. Seems it was very popular to dress up for parties and weddings. Here my Dad is the "bridegroom" and I think he has a lot of fun, looks so happy! (Despite the "bride" being so ugly I leave "her" out):

He´s not even 30 in this pic, I guess!

Another occasion like this, my Dad being again the "bridegroom" - OMG - look at the clothes he´s wearing!!!! Again a very... "pretty" bride, huh?
Weird thing is... my Dad was rather small, some 1,74m! The "bride" wears high heels, what a tiny man!

Woody Allen, no? Even the background with the books does fit! :-)

Those glasses!!!

BTW - those glasses! My Mom :-)

Our name translated is Emperor. How come I´m a pawn in this game of chess?! ;-)

It´s my Birthday - notice the young man to the right? We wanted to marry, so we could play together also in the evenings! Yes, that was a reason back then, that could have led to a marriage! My brother´s second name is due to the not-having-taken-place marriage "Thomas" - I thought the two of us might play well together in some years´ time also (was not the case - or: very seldom, sadly!):

I don´t like winter, I hate snow, but I love that pic (and obviously I loved snow on that day): My Grandmother, Bro and me, lying flat in the snow:

Last, not least the Goldsmith at work, at age six!

Luckily I tend to keep only the good memories in mind :-)

German Bowl XXX

Braunschweig Lions: 20 - Kiel Baltic Hurricanes: 14!

That makes the Braunschweig Lions being the German Bowl Defender the seventh time and the fourth time in a row! :-)
They have been in every final of the German Bowl for the last eleven years.

We didn´t see it for ourselves cause Ingo can´t sit that long and certainly cause it took place in Frankfurt, some 340 km from here.

Chili Joe and so...

Meet my new plants - they are hot! And edible! (you can click to enlarge the pics)

Actually the name is Capsicum annuum, Solanaceae or Pepperoni. But the description said "I´m Chili Joe, have fun with me - OlĂ©"

17 °C, sunny today, just beautiful weather! We went to the city and came home with even more stuff to decorate - seesh, gotta stop that!

But isn´t it nice? This little shoe is a copy of my real ones!

Ok, winter may come now, aren´t those glovies beautiful and cuddly?

I won´t have to bend over the wash-bowl anymore, isn´t that mirror lovely?

Yips, I´m typical German. Also in the bathroom I always know what time it is:

Who can possibly resist such colors when winter will come?!

I don´t do it no more, no?

If it was the other way round, "3"-"4", but like this it´s not funny anymore, Ingo said.

I don´t care much which way round: Happy Birthday! :-) Am I happy we can celebrate, might not have been the case.

We went to the Steak-House - by push-bike! Yes, he can do it again! And it was soooooooooooo YUM, the filet! And the company :-) Well, not yummy, but :-)

We achieved a lot today! The dogs are in the wall, finally! Their butts still stick out, harmonizing with the surrounding:

And the magnets are on the wall as well. Hmm, maybe the containers will be for tea, or such. We can put any pics in there, I love it. Thanks to the Swedish Furniture Store :-)

Weekend, finally!

No-ears-rabbits

Meet my new mate, who´s going to accompany to Bielefeld next week:

Well.
So, some nights ago I went to the cinema to see Keinohrhasen.

I stood in line with Brad Pitt and when I looked around, I saw Til Schweiger, who has the star role in the movie. Guess he wanted to see what kind of guys come to watch.

Well, sure, that was a dream. I don´t like to go to the cinema.

And it was the most common thing to do, too, to go to the cinema with Brad Pitt.

Why? Internet provider Alice has Brad Pitt in the TV-ads, like this one, for example:

Brad Pitt is always friendly and polite, never angry that the guys never speak English. You get used to see Brad Pitt in German homes.
Why not go to the cinema with him?

I told my friend about the dream and she said, next time we meet she´ll bring Keinohrhasen along - she has it on DVD.
So, despite not having seen the movie yet, I know it´s good and hence I already bought the plush-star :-)

Monday I´m off to Bielefeld for further training (Adobe Flash, yay!).
If you never hear from me again, something went terribly wrong and the Bielefeld Conspiracy is true!

The certain things

Bet everyone has stuff in life to manage that he hates.
Cause it´s so darn difficult.
Might be the very easiest to do to others, but oh-so-very-very-much-complicated to one self.

Well.
I was promised help. And made an arrangement for tomorrow.
A stupid argument and I´m off on my own.

It would be one thing to say, "come on, I´m really sick of you being afraid of doing this. I won´t do it for you - but I will be with you in case you need help."

Yes. That would´ve helped me.
Maybe I will have some... really embarrassing moments tomorrow. It is stupid to think of it all the time now already. But I do. Feel neglected, turned down. Asked to explain myself, my situation and was rejected.

Weird thing is: I was able to do what I plan tomorrow before. Because there was no one available to help. I think I can do it. It´s the how. The how being thrown into this situation.
Maybe I´m less flexible already? Anyhows.

If you see a helpless woman in a Polo cruisin´ around not exactly knowing where to - eeek! - , in the deepest center of traffic... looking for the delivery entrance in an - eeek! - deep-garage. Hope no one sees her who knows her.
See a woman with a heavy/bulky load not knowing where to turn to, struggling with doors? Me. Wish me luck. Hopefully I find my way back to the car. Would be good, cause I have to go twice - with each load.

Bet I can do it... It´s just the way I´m put to it, the how.

You can encourage people, which is a positive thing. You can force people by letting them down. Same result (hopefully), different ways. Would´ve preferred the first.

Or have made the arrangement for another time with help. But who knows. Maybe I just need to prove myself again ... it´s just the how, ya know?.
Ack. Just wish me luck.

My Mom´s Birthday

... is on a Sunday.

Or, rather not! Since September 19th definitively is a Friday!

Now, I wonder when this flea market is going to take place?

Was good for some confusion on my side - and on my family´s! Gna...

The Lion sleeps roars tonight

Now is this a cool doormat?! But 18 €... that´s a lot of money.

And, well. Our "portrait" is nice, also, huh? You know whom you´re visiting here! ;-)

Was a beautiful day today! 24C, sunny! Had a mini-Currywurst at the canteen and went with Ingo for a walk in the evening, there were ballons all over:

I would like to know what might be inside that "tower"? Looks kinda romantic, I think - or scary? Not sure:

Living in the Lion-city Braunschweig, I will soon be provided with "Lion-Breakfast":
We passed a butcher, that certainly was closed already, a small shop. Ingo took this pic through the window - and will go buy it soon:

Yips, the butcher´s name is Göthe - I doubt, though, that after eating it I will be able to write the complicated poetry like Wolfgang ;-)

Best before Dec this year - a sign it´s hand-made, but, oh-don´t-you-just-hate-it how soon time´s up on food?!
Just had to throw away some cheese. I had eaten today. Ingo told me, you know it´s expired some weeks already?
Darn. Thanks, Dad for this stomach-genes. Or?

8:00 pm, getting dark :-(

Just like Cleopatra

Not looking like she did, but feeling like her! Yes, I´m showering with "whipped cream"!

It smells like vanilla and does indeed feel like whipped cream! Yes, I don´t like to eat sweets. But I love to smell em!
So, I may also tell you that my body-lotion smells (according to Ingo very artificially) like raspberries, YUM!

Yes, the product-series is called young - AND? I don´t care! And see women of my age buying that stuff also! :-)

On the way up

That´s what I got for my day at work on Friday.

A sign Ingo is getting better. Slowly, but he is!

Last night he slept in our bed, for the first time in ages. The tube is gone, finally! He slept through til 9!

Let´s play Opitz

That´s what the Braunschweig kids said for "let´s play cops and robbers".

We didn´t get a detective story yesterday on murder on the Oker.
We got the real thing.

Friedrich Opitz comitted detectable 122 severe crimes in the 1920´s. 1937 they got him. He was mean. Ugly from the inside, he was very clever. And sick. He "wrote" forensic science. But first not in Germany. The case was kept calm. Translated to French and English to help others in Europe learn about/from him. We had Hitler, only after that the case was translated to German.
And then the kids played Opitz.

It was kinda surreal to sit in that raft with darkness falling in and listening to such a story.
It certainly did start raining and we came to a halt under one of the bridges. Certainly under that one which is due to be repaired!

It was interesting, odd and fun.

I didn´t drive back home the same way I had come, which was through the park right beside the Oker.
I cycled through the lighted city!

Today we will drive back there - it´s Magnifest (German) again, the annual festival in the Magni-Quarter!

YUMMY food is due to come! And maybe another grain of rice, if the rice-lady is there again and if we come up with an idea of what we want to have on the grain.

Life is good.
:-)

Needs Meme

Over at Barbara´s Place I found this "meme" and joined in:
All you do is type your first name follwed by the word "needs" into Google and see what pops up. Here's mine, I did the first 10:

Blue Iris needs ID - Ok, they talk of the flower, I have an iD! ;-)

IRIS Needs Assessment - Oh. I do?

Iris Needs Her Hero - Ingo is back home! Google didn´t know, I suppose ;-)

IRIS needs to be expanded and improved - Aw. Sure, I always like to learn new stuff. But expansion?

IRIS NEEDS YOUR HELP! - Ummm, nothing urgend though!

Iris needs nitrogen - Actually I feel fine without

Iris needs you to tell it where you want all your images saved - I´d like to be refered to as "she", please, then I do that cheerfully for ya

Iris needs a specific color adjustment - Green is all right, really!

I think at this stage it is still not at a level where IRIS needs to panic about a digital market - Ok, I´m calm and easy

Iris needs to be divided and thinned out every few years - Oh, my!!! Will go to the gym tomorrow!

This was fun!

Will be over now

Right?! Ingo´s darn way of getting well again has to stop to be that slow way, I wanna see a Ferrari here (or a BMW 3 Series, Cabriolet):

cat
more animals

Cute pic/comment anyhows! :-)

It's a Wonderful Life

I know, I know, we´re far away from Christmas (though I bet the first x-mas-stuff will soon sit in the shops).

Went shopping on Sat and amongts other I finally got George Bailey´s wonderful story on DVD. Will you believe it, Ingo does not know the best Christmas-Movie ever and since I had it only as .mpg it was a great excuse to say no to it - haha! This Christmas Ingo is due! In English!

For now he´s back in Luebeck. Tomorrow at 8 a.m. the docs will see him. Meanwhile his oldest nephew has his first day at school.

Oh, seesh. "It's a Wonderful Life" helps me out tonight. Weather is plain awful, too. Makes me sick.

Ingo hopes/thinks he´ll be back home tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed maybe?

And don´t you love this Christmas-Movie? Do you know anyone who does not know it? Or am I getting old? HA! Ingo is 7 years ahead of me, that can´t be the reason, age ;-)
