The tsunami of executive orders, federal immigration policy changes, stop-work orders, funding reductions, SNAP and Medicaid cuts has devastated those we serve. We also hold in our hearts the thousands of vulnerable peoples we would have expected to serve this year and over the next three years.
Our support for refugees, humanitarian parolees, and asylum seekers is more vital with each passing day.
The changes have impacted IRIS staff too. Yet we feel very deeply that we will carry on, adapt to meet the needs of those who have a pathway to permanence — supporting Green Card applications, work permits (EADs), and naturalization/citizenship applications. All of these processes have been upended too, and are now far more expensive due to increases in USCIS fees.
We cannot do this without your help. Thank you.
