January marked a busy start to the year for HoverAid Madagascar’s Mobile Medical Clinic (MMC) teams, delivering vital healthcare to remote communities despite challenging rainy-season conditions. During the month, the team operated clinics across four villages, bringing medical care directly to people who often have little or no access to healthcare services.

Outlining how our Community Health Programme (CHP) brings clean water, safe sanitation and good hygiene to remote river-communities in Madagascar. With the deployment of our hovercraft FAITH, we can reach villages along rivers such as the Mangoky and Makay — delivering water wells, hand-washing stations and hygiene training. In September 2025, HoverAid’s Medical Mission Safari team travelled to Marolambo, where they treated 671 patients through surgery, dentistry, ophthalmology, ultrasound, and consultations — including a life-saving caesarean section that ensured both mother and baby survived. The mission was marked by strong collaboration with local hospital staff and brought vital medical care to people who had travelled from far and wide.
