Assistant General Manager & Coordinator of Camps and Events

Position Overview
This is a hands-on leadership role that supports the General Manager in facility operations, scheduling, and customer relations management, while taking primary ownership of birthday parties, special events, and summer camps. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, sales-minded, and comfortable leading both staff and programs in a fast-paced environment.
This role is ideal for someone looking to grow into senior facility or general management.
This is a full-time assistant management position requiring approximately 35-40 hours per week. Availability on both weekdays and weekends is required. Occasional evening hours may be necessary based on camps, events, parties, and overall facility demand.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Leadership

- Assist the General Manager with daily facility operations and oversight

-Serve as a leader on-site during operating hours, ensuring smooth execution of programs

-Help enforce operational policies, procedures, and service standards

-Address customer concerns and resolve issues professionally

Front Desk & Administrative

-Oversee front desk operations including check-ins, payments, and customer inquiries

-Manage scheduling, billing, and reporting using software platforms like EZFacility, Partywirks, or similar

-Assist with invoicing, financial tracking, and basic operational reporting

-Share responsibility for staff scheduling and time management

Sales & Customer Experience

-Sell and coordinate birthday parties, camps, and special events

-Respond promptly to inquiries, leads, tours, and bookings

-Upsell programs, memberships, and add-ons when appropriate

-Ensure every guest interaction reflects the Greentree Sportsplex brand

Parties & Events

-Own the party and event process from inquiry through execution

-Coordinate staffing, schedules, and logistics for all events

-Ensure consistent, high-quality party experiences for families and groups

Summer Camp Lead

-Plan, organize, and oversee all summer camp programming

-Manage camp registration, staffing, schedules, and daily operations

-Communicate effectively with parents and guardians

-Ensure a safe, fun, and engaging environment for all campers

-Continuously evaluate and improve camp offerings and operations

Additional Responsibilities

-Perform additional duties as assigned by the General Manager, including occasional evening or special-event coverage based on facility needs

Qualifications

-2+ years of experience in operations, facility management, sports, recreation, or events (preferred)

-Strong organizational and multitasking skills

-Excellent communication and customer service abilities

-Sales-oriented mindset with confidence interacting with parents and customers

-Experience with scheduling, billing, or management software (EZFacility and/or Partywirks preferred)

-Proven ability to lead, motivate, and support staff

-Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

-Sports and coaching background (preferred)
