Widget issue after upgrading to 4.78

Hi, I hope the day is going well.
After the update to the latest version 4.78 I see a strange behavior on my chat widget seems as I digit name or message in the widget the scroll bar appears and maybe a strange behavior also happen on the image showed in the widget.

Any idea on how to fix?
Maybe this fix 4d3e011 can be the cause of the new issue I'm facing?

In the offline form where the widget logo image is not present the issue is not present.
Even when the start chat is not present but in the start chat form the issue is present.

Seems you have disable cache as image is reloading each time. fix ir in browser/server

Hi remdex, thank you for your reply. I dont have cache as I'm not using any proxy just Apache and PHP and after the update I cleared several time the cache from live helper chat and tested also on incognito mode.

I can confirm this issue is not my server cache but start from Live Helper Chat 4.77
I tested 4.75 and 4.76 and the issue is not present.

I will try to see but it's hard I think I can find the cause. I found that the version who start to create this issue is 4.77 this is what i know without doubt as revert to 4.76 fix the issue.

I'm not able to reproduce in your server and start chat settings and misc settings has been copied manually.
There is an interesting thing:

If I just replace the folder defaulttheme with the folder of the version 4.76 the issue is fixed.
I tried also to rename the folder customtheme to customtheme_off but the issue persist with the defaulttheme folder from 4.77 and 4.78

What I can see is that load my widget in the browser and opening the developer console every time I digit a letter or I check the terms and conduction check box the image is reloaded in version 4.77 and 4.78 this means for every digit the image is reload. This is a resource resource consumption

This screenshot help to understand the possibile cause? I can see the react-dom-client.production.js called.
For now I'm not finding the cause but if replacing the defaulttheme folder resolve the issue how can be a settings issue?

I dont know where else see. For now I have to keep the defaulttheme from version 4.76 or I need remove any image on the start chat widget.

Browser indicates it's not using any cache for the images. You can also avoid scroll I ques if you define width and height of the image. Also in your toolbar you have Disable cache it should not be enabled to see how with cache works.

I changed my widget template to avoid the scrollbar issue that was not present in the clone demo I created.

The main issue remain: image on start chat is intermittent and reload every digit that is done.

I found the issue is in the js folder.
I dont know what is the cause but if I rename the js folder of LHC 4.78 (/home/livechat.peopleinside.it/public_html/livechat/design/defaulttheme/js) and i upload the js folder of 4.76 then clean cache the issue is resolved.

This is all I know.
The issue seems to be caused by a JS update that was changed from the version 4.76 that was working to the new broken 4.77 that has the issue also on 4.78

I dont know why I cannot replicate on your server.
What I can do now is try to install a new live helper chat instance on my server and see if also a clean install have the same issue, if not I'm really asking what settings can be the issue.... I checked Misc, I checked the start chat settings.... found nothing.

I will try a new install.
Without find what is the cause means I cannot upgrade anymore or I have to replace JS with the old version every time and this will be not good and should avoid.

Cache has been turned on but this never change the behavior.

Seems resolved.
The issue was in the .htaccess file that need an update.

How I discovered this?
Testing a lot also on a new install.

Finally I was able to reproduce the issue editing the new .htacces with my old one.

Maybe version 4.77 introduce new thing that was influenced by the .htaccess that I had.
No issue with LHC 4.76 but issue with LHC 4.77

I never replace the .htaccess file when I update LHC.
This was the issue.

In relation I made few changes. So now it should have worked with old .htaccess file you had. Just updated form master branch.

Thank you remdex but with the new .htaccess so removing the old rules seems everything is more faster.
For now if I dont have any other issue I will keep this setup.

Sorry if on those day I stressed you with this issue. I worked a full day for detect and resolve this. Was very hard and stressful also for me.
Now that all works I'm very happy.

Your old htaccess was blocking static assets thats why everything is faster now :)
