Not getting environment variable

How can I access the environment variable of running pty? For eg I can get environment variable of system using : process.env.PWD

I know I can run echo $PWD in pty then it will return but I want to get it programmatically like this: term.process.env.PWD

and How can I add event on any process complete?
For eg: if I run pacman -Syu then I want to show popup or alert on the completions of process

Currently my node-pty is initiated like this:
