I’ve successfully launched an Erigon node using the --prune.mode=minimal configuration. The node is fully synced and running smoothly, keeping up with the latest blocks without issue. However, I’ve noticed that the disk usage is significantly higher than what’s documented.
According to the official disk space guide, the expected disk usage for a minimal node is around 370GB, but my node is currently consuming about 769GB—more than twice the estimate.
I’d like to ask:
• Is this disk usage expected for minimal mode?
• Are there additional flags or cleanup strategies to reduce disk usage?
• Could snapshot history or temporary files be contributing to the extra size?

Hi all,
I’ve successfully launched an Erigon node using the --prune.mode=minimal configuration.
Here’s my startup script:
erigon
--datadir=/home/foxing/eth/data
--prune.mode=minimal
--http.addr="0.0.0.0"
--http.api=eth,web3,net,debug,trace
--http.port=8547
--ws
--ws.port=8548
--torrent.download.rate=512mb
I’d like to ask:
• Is this disk usage expected for minimal mode?
• Are there additional flags or cleanup strategies to reduce disk usage?
• Could snapshot history or temporary files be contributing to the extra size?
Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!
