Quick Start Guide Not Working

When following the quick start guide, via cutting and pasting, I get the following error: 


```
lfe> (myapp:hello "WORLD")
** exception error: undefined function
  in (myapp : hello "WORLD")
```

Moreover calling "rebar3 lfe compile" shows:

```

===> Compiling 0 LFE application(s)

```
