At some point in the (probably distant) past I noticed that MailHog had an infamous "is this project dead" issue on its first page of issues. (FWIW, I don't think I was actively debugging a problem at the time, just getting to know the project better).

In said issue the author remarked that they have had little time for maintenance and encouraged folks to consider migrating to axllent/mailpit if MailHog was giving them issues.
