Support IWWG's Growing Internship Program

Hello, I am Michelle Miller, the Executive Director of the IWWG. I have had the pleasure of working with Kelsey Day, Olivia Loftis and many of our other interns this year - all who have joined us from Emerson College's writing program in Boston. Our corps of new young writers also includes Asiyah Herrera and Camarah Oates - both of who contributed to our anthology, Heels into the Soil: Stories & Poems Resisting the Silence.

IWWG's internship program draws upon the talent and energy of young writers, beginning in Boston, but we hope soon across the country and the world. This year, our interns include Kelsey's Emerson team and IWWG's inaugural group of young writers from Boston. An internship with IWWG provides a meaningful experience for students enrolled in writing programs or in our mentorship program. Several of our interns currently work closely with IWWG faculty to provide technical support on Zoom and connect regularly with our members to provide workshop materials, recordings, and member updates. Kelsey has led the planning and formation of our wonderful writing circles and we are planning more!

The IWWG Summer Conference in July 2022 will require intensive support for both faculty and attendees. Help us bring 5 of our young women writers/ interns to the conference. Not only will they have a constructive and memorable work experience, they will also be able to attend workshops and read their work at evening Open Mics.

By sponsoring an intern, you will support IWWG in discovering new talent and in encouraging young women to pursue their writing goals.
