Sex: What Does Anal Feel Like?

Today I’m going to write something personal, so it’s pretty likely I’m going to regret it, but I’m also going to write something that I believe will help people write better. Maybe.

I’m going to detail my personal experiences with anal. Just the penetration. Not anything else surrounding it, since this should be long enough on its own. Do remember that these are my personal experiences and that means you might feel it differently.

Sex: Your Sub Is A Dead Fish

Having already complained impotently about the general depiction of the dom in erotic fiction, it’s time to move on to the counterpart. The sub.

Being submissive myself this is something that bothers me on some primal level. Perhaps maybe it’s because I can ignore bad doms, but bad (depictions of) subs rub off on how I think people see me?

Sex: Your Dom Is An Asshole

I’ve not written about sex in a while, huh? Well, nevermind, time to touch upon that kind of topic.

Today we’re delving into a topic that is a pet peeve of mine. And that’s the portrayal of doms in fiction. Maledom or femdom? Doesn’t matter. The only thing we’re interested in today is the dom and the sub and their relationship during sex play.

Show And Tell

So there’s a saying about writing that gets thrown around a lot: show, don’t tell. What exactly does that mean and how does it work?

And perhaps most importantly, is it even true? Or maybe the real issue is dissonance between informed attributes and what’s presented to the audience?

The Midi-chlorian Rule

Ho boy, it’s time to abuse the dead, brutalised horse that is Star Wars. Actually not really, I’m not going to be getting into Star Wars lore. I just need one scene. One scene that was functionally George taking the Force out behind the shed and capping a big fat lead one right between its […]

Mechanics: Puzzles – Part II – A Study of Soggy Zebras

Einstein’s Riddle, also known as the Zebra Riddle for reasons that will become apparent soon, is a classic deduction puzzle. I’d like to discuss both why it’s a good riddle and what shortcomings it has when implemented in a video game. As well as how to fix that issue.

We’ll start with the riddle itself and the solution though. I need a basis for the actual discussion for next time.

Mechanics: Puzzles – Extra – Combinatorics 101

Ho boy, it’s one of those days. Those days where you start writing something and then realise that FUCK, barely anyone will have the squintiest idea of what I’m talking about.

So I need to talk a bit about variable spaces and combinatorics. I’ll try not to get carried away, but I’m not going to make any promises.

Outlining outlines

It’s easy to tell someone that outlining is essential, or how to do it. What often gets lost in the noise is why you should draft and why it’s going to come back and haunt you if you don’t.

First off though, let’s establish what an outline for a narrative looks like.
