During Hootsuite's annual Beyond the Nest event, happening next in June 2025, our employees have eight hours of paid volunteer time off to use to give back to communities and neighborhoods where they live and work.
Employees can volunteer with any cause they are passionate about, or they can get involved in one of the many volunteer opportunities Hootsuite works with nonprofit partners to organize specifically for this event.
A few examples of the kinds of volunteer opportunities that would work well for Beyond the Nest:
Team based opportunities (i.e. 10 individuals or more can get involved)
In-person opportunities in the following cities: Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, New York, Mexico City, London, Luxembourg, Paris, Milan, Rome, Hasselt, Bucharest, and Sydney
Virtual opportunities that accommodate folks from multiple time zones
Occurs during office hours (approximately 9am-5pm)
Short durations (for example, an hour long mentoring or networking session)
Social media focused opportunities (for example, reviewing your social media strategy or learning how to use Hootsuite)
