VOLUNTEER

There is great power in volunteering. In fact, many of DMC’s long-time supporters, advocates and even some of our long-time employees started out as volunteers to be of service to offer their unique skill set to enhance our organization’s ability to serve and YOU could be part of the change you wish to see in our community by participating as a volunteer at DMC.
The Dayle McIntosh Center invites disability community members and allies in Orange County to join our team! Volunteer with us and help ensure that people with disabilities and older adults receive resources and access to equal opportunities to lead their lives as they choose.
Whether you’re looking to gain work skills or bring years of experience – we welcome volunteers of all experience levels!

VOLUNTEER TESTIMONIALS
DMC is grateful for our volunteers, their time and their dedication in providing their in-kind services to our organization. We believe that those who put their all into this opportunity also get back what they invest when it comes to learning, growth, support and success. Proof of that is hearing directly from our volunteers in what they have to say about their experience and time here.
Volunteer Youth Advisor, Mona Davarmanesh

“I am grateful to DMC for feeling comfortable volunteering at a place that appreciates my effort as I have struggled so much when I worked in other places. I always felt like I was going to have a mental breakdown because it did not seem like I struggled or had a disability.
Here at DMC, I can give all my effort while being able to ask for breaks without any fear, shame, or anxiety. It is also so nice to be able to support other youth with disabilities and I feel through their reactions and behaviors that they hopefully feel heard, loved, included, and seen. I am grateful to be able to have that kind of opportunity!”
Johan Pedroza, Reception Volunteer
“I am grateful for DMC because DMC has provided me with the opportunity to volunteer and serve the Disability community in OC.
DMC has also helped my family with finding the necessary resources to a better quality of life.
I am grateful to become part of a team that is focused on maintaining a welcoming, inclusive environment for consumers, staff, and volunteers.”
Daysi Ocampo, Reception Volunteer

Lupe Del Cid, Youth Volunteer
Volunteering with DMC has taught me how I can be an ally and supportive member of my community! It has allowed me to discover how we can be inclusive of others and welcome diversity in our lives. DMC welcomed me with open arms and I learned how they lend a helping hand to Orange County. I am a proud DMC volunteer!
