How are Monthly Active Users (MAU) counted?

We count MAU (Monthly Active Users) by tracking unique users who open your app within a 30-day period. Each user is counted once, regardless of how many times they engage with the app.

At Capgo, we don't count emulators and dev builds in your usage. Learn more about this here.

What is storage used for and how does it work?
Storage is used to store your app update bundles, which contain web assets (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), version metadata, and checksums. It keeps all uploaded versions to support instant rollbacks, multiple release channels (production, beta, staging), and deployment history. Storage usage grows with each OTA update since every update is stored as a full bundle. Typical usage is 2 GB for a few apps with limited history, and 10–20 GB for multiple apps with frequent releases.
How is Bandwidth Counted?
At Capgo, we measure bandwidth by tracking the amount of data transmitted between the storage location and user devices through edge servers. This helps us deliver real-time updates.
What does "build time" refer to in the plans?
Build time refers to the time Capgo spends building your native app in the cloud using Capgo Build, our cloud-based solution for iOS and Android. It allows you to build your app from any computer without needing a Mac, simplifies CI/CD workflows, and enables teammates who are not familiar with native builds to generate builds reliably. Using the Capgo CLI, you can trigger builds in a simple and reproducible way, often faster and easier than managing your own CI/CD setup.
What happens if I reach the Monthly Active Users (MAU) limit?
We'll send you email notifications when you reach 50%, 70%, 90%, and 100% of your MAU limit. Once you hit the limit, your updates will be blocked until the end of your billing cycle. To continue serving updates, you can upgrade to a higher plan or purchase credits to cover the additional usage.
What happens if I reach the Storage limit?
You'll receive email notifications at 50%, 70%, 90%, and 100% of your storage limit. When you reach the limit, you won't be able to upload new bundles until the end of your billing cycle, you upgrade your plan, or you purchase credits to cover the additional usage. Existing updates will continue to work normally.
What happens if I reach the Bandwidth limit?
We'll notify you by email when you reach 50%, 70%, 90%, and 100% of your bandwidth limit. Once the limit is reached, update downloads will be blocked until your billing cycle resets, you upgrade to a plan with more bandwidth, or you purchase credits to cover the additional usage. Your app will continue to function with its current version.
Can I update capacitor.config.ts changes via Capgo?
No, changes to capacitor.config.ts cannot be sent through Capgo live updates. The Capacitor configuration file is read at native build time and compiled into the native app binary. This means any changes to capacitor.config.ts (such as plugin configurations, app ID, server settings, or native plugin options) require a new native release through the App Store or Google Play. Capgo can only update web assets (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) that are loaded at runtime.

Do you offer annual billing and ACH payment options?
ACH is available only for annual payments from Enterprise plan customers. Contact us for more information.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover). For annual plans, we also accept bank transfers. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
Can I change my plan at any time?
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately, while downgrades are applied at the end of your current billing cycle. This ensures you get full value from your current plan until it expires.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time. When you cancel, you'll retain access to your plan throughout the rest of your billing period. If you have outstanding usage-based charges, you'll be charged for those immediately upon cancellation. After that, you won't be charged again.
Do you offer refunds?
Except when required by law, paid subscription fees are non-refundable. However, certain refund requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis and granted at the sole discretion of Capgo. If you believe you qualify for a refund, please contact our support team.
Are there any setup fees or hidden costs?
No setup fees, ever. All our pricing is transparent and includes everything you need to get started. All plans consist of a base plan price plus credit usage for any usage beyond your plan limits. Unlike other platforms in this space, we don't hide any costs - what you see is what you pay.
Can I use credits without an active subscription?
No. Credits can only be used or purchased with an active subscription. You need an active plan to use credits for covering usage beyond your plan limits. Credits are prepaid and valid for 1 year from the date of purchase.

SOC 2: what does it mean?
SOC 2 refers to SOC 2 Type II certification, a recognized security compliance standard. Capgo is SOC 2 Type II certified, meaning its systems and processes are independently audited to ensure high standards of security, availability, and confidentiality, including data protection, access controls, service reliability, and safe data handling. In practice, this means Capgo follows enterprise-grade security practices and can be used by companies with compliance requirements, corporate clients, and B2B or regulated environments. SOC 2 included in the Enterprise tier.
Can I use SOC 2 compliance with Solo, Maker, or Team plans?
For now, it's only available on the Enterprise plan.
