My favorite sets are the modular buildings, especially Café Corner, Market Street, and the Parisian Restaurant. I also have interests in Creator, Ideas, and Technic. I believe my first set was a construction set, perhaps 6581, and I've never had a "dark age." I was using Brickset at least as early as May 2005 but only joined in the summer of 2007, after the June site crash of that year in perhaps July or August.

As a reviewer, I often write retrospective discussions of sets, and balance criticism and historical context. I use the following rubric for ratings: (5) delighted; (4) pleased; (3) satisfied; (2) dissatisfied; (1) frustrated. Other interests include reading and writing, traveling and backpacking, baking, music, and the arts.
