I haven’t used it for that long, but the quality looks/feels nice. The zippers need a bit of a tug to open, but there are loops that help with opening the zippers easily. It looks waterproof, but I haven’t tested it yet.

awesome backpack! was comparing this one to some of the competition like $300 the Yeti Panga. I was able to check out the Yeti at a store and The Breakwater Supply bag has the same if not BETTER quality than the Yeti backpack and only for a fraction of the cost! I would highly recommend Breakwater Supply waterproof backpacks to anyone looking for a fully waterproof submersible backpack.

Purchased lots of trainers that were surpose to be waterproof, none was, wasted money. These shoes are not cheap but they are 100% waterproof.

Writing as a Divemaster, marine ecologist, and full-time PhD student who spends months of the year collecting data in the field. While I've yet to drag this backpack through its paces out on a fieldwork season, I've been pleasantly surprised with how robust it has been as an EDC backpack in adverse winter conditions. It's burly and rugged, and has a functionally minimalist design with plenty of external lash points and additional features. I picked this bag over alternatives such as the Patagonia Guidewater line or the Fishpond Thunderhead primarily because of its built-in laptop sleeve and double airtight pockets (one main compartment and one outside compartment). I don't regret this decision at all, and am pleasantly and plentifully surprised at how well-made and thought-out this product is. My only gripe so far is how small the external water bottle sleeves are—none of my water bottles fit in them, but it's also hard to whine about a feature that none of the other submersible packs on the market even have to begin with, so I digress. The hingeless carabiners are also sleek and functional and don't feel disposable. In short, this bag seems perfect for my demanding use cases, and my only suggestions are 1) bigger/more expandable water bottle sleeves, and 2) a clearer picture of Breakwater Supply's commitment to conservation and sustainability and how their products and materials reflect this focus. This set includes 4 carabiners, each 2 inches long. They are made of a very light and strong plastic and include no springs. Instead, the plastic arm pushes open, and on the tip of the arm is a small groove. When closed, this small groove keeps the carabiner from sliding side to side. They seem very durable. I was able to fully push the arm in such that it touches the other side. It takes considerable effort, so this is not flimsy plastic. Based on my tests of 50 sets of opening and closing, it still seems very durable. This is a great alternative to metal carabiners, especially if you want to avoid clanking. These are obviously not rated for mountaineering or anything, though. Thanks for reading! I hope you found this review helpful!

Built like a tank and immediately felt better about the price. Only 2 things I find that could be better. 1 Zippers are tough to pull and require wax to make sure they don’t get stuck. 2 lacks a good amount of interior pockets for those who like excessive pockets in your bags. Design of the bag was kept simple to help with water proof-ness. Will say that if you don’t want to worry about what you put in the bag staying dry this is the bag for you.

Love how portable this is. Keep it in the car.

Finally - a practical first aid kit for people that enjoy camping, hiking and other outdoor sports. It's compact but has the products you will likely need - as opposed to being full of fluff that you won't. A great gift for anyone that loves the outdoors.

Rugged and durable! This is my second Breakwater Supply backpack and their designs continue to improve. This is my go-to sailing/kayaking backpack as I trust the waterproofing more than my other bags.

Great backpack. Definitely waterproof. In the Philippines i was on a boat for a 5 day island hopping trip and this was my main bag. I brought a drone with me on the boat trip and when we'd anchor off an island Id zip up the back pack with my drone in it and swim to shore. I did this on many islands and never a drop of water got into the bag, Id even kind of swim with it as a flotation device submerging it a bit and no problem. Also nice when thunderstorms would come through areas when I was on motorbikes and would get drenched but didnt even need to worry a bit about my gear getting wet, I'd just throw my phone in the bag and keep going with a smile. As of now I definitely recommend this bag. Want a waterproof backpack? Get one from Breakwater Supply hands down. Much love

You know, how I found out about this bag is quite an accident. Was not promoted by anyone or seen it in the real world. I just see their videos of the backpack submerged in water and I was sold. Yesterday, I was in a grocery store, put my my backpack on the table. This group of seniors spilled water all over the table including my backpack and I am astonished to find my belongings are still dry inside. Works like magic!
