We have not had a lot of experience with dog mats, but we needed one for dog class. Willow was learning to stay on a mat, and this has been perfect! At first I thought the price was a little high, but I wanted something that would be durable and would last a long time. We do not let Willow do as she pleases with the mat, we only use it when she needs to stay and wait. I love that it rolls up so quickly and stays put with the buttons. It has been a perfect size for our 70lb Bloodhound. It has stayed relatively clean, even with throwing treats on it that can get kind of mushy by the end of class. We make a treat mix of pieces of chicken, beef liver, salmon treats, turkey hot dogs, mozzarella, and kibble. We have not washed, but I think it would do just fine! I noticed right away that the fabric is durable and thicker so I think it will hold up for a while for what we are using it for. If it was just given to a dog to lay on in a crate, it might get tore up pretty quick if your dog is a chewer. Overall it has been a great purchase for us! We are thinking of buying another for our other Bloodhound.

Love love love this mat! We take it with us when we go to any outdoor pet friendly restaurant for our puppy to sit on. The size is perfect, not too big not too small. Very easy to fold up and carry. We also washed it and it is super easy to clean since it is machine washable. The colour and material hold up after multiple washes. Highly recommend!

There are some design flaws, it hard to fold it into the way that’s displayed in the picture. You basically have the fold the two side inwards and then kneel on top of it to keep it from opening up while rolling it, not sure if I can do that at the outside patio of a restaurant. It’s pretty hard to button it up that way too, need to roll it really tightly so that the straps can reach the button. HOWEVER despite all its very cute and my dog for some reason likes it a lot, so five stars.
