We, the undersigned leaders in Minnesota, stand in solidarity with the Minnesota Jewish and Muslim communities and individuals from diverse backgrounds. We unite in our call for an immediate ceasefire to ensure the protection of innocent civilians in the Israel-Palestine war.

The war in Israel and Palestine is impacting our communities here in Minnesota. Minnesota's Muslim and Jewish Communities have experienced increased attacks and threats, and we condemn these hateful threats and attacks unequivocally. We stand with our communities, fully understanding that as hostility increases, it directly impacts our communities here in Minnesota.

Innocent lives on both sides of this conflict have been tragically affected, enduring loss of life, injuries, displacement, isolation, hunger, fear, and trauma. As elected officials representing our communities, it is our duty to raise our voices collectively. Regardless of faith or background, whether Muslim, Jewish, Christian, or belonging to any other group, we are bound by a shared commitment to peace and the preservation of human life.

We express profound concern for the profound anguish and suffering inflicted by this ongoing war, which has left Israeli and Palestinian families and communities in a state of shock, confusion, and helplessness. We join forces, urging our nation and fellow elected representatives, not only in Minnesota but across the nation, to actively pursue peace.

This period is one of profound pain for the Muslim and Jewish communities in Minnesota and throughout our nation. Let us initiate the healing process by breaking the cycle of violence and death and by ensuring the immediate ceasefire needed to protect civilians.
