artHAUS Creative Residency 2026
Thank you for your interest in the artHAUS Creative Residency! This form will allow us to understand your residency needs better.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE APPLYING:

1) Application:
We value complete, thoughtful applications with all required documents. Insufficient or vague applications will be immediately rejected. 

2) Residency Fees:
--- For Southeast Asian artists & researchers: RM1,000 / month
--- For International artists & researchers: RM2,000 / month

* HAUS KCH will be able to provide a Letter of Support (LoS) for applicants who are seeking to apply for other grant funding to pay for their artHAUS residency. Please indicate in this form if you would like an LoS from us—we value quality applications and will get in touch with you on this if your residency application is successful.

3) The Residency provides:
--- Access to one (1) studio (which includes private living and working areas), shared workspace, shared bathroom, and shared pantry at HAUS KCH;
--- Technical assistance for residency-related activities at HAUS KCH;
--- Promotion for the artist, their works, and residency-related activities;
--- Introductions to local resources and arts communities;
--- Collaborative platforms for documentation, dialogue, and engagement;
--- Sponsored group showcase to present work-in-progress or final outcomes to the public.

4) The Residency does NOT include:
--- Monthly stipend/living expenses for the artist;
--- Flights, visa, insurance, and/or transportation costs for the artist;
--- Materials or production costs for the artist’s residency project;
--- Any additional expenses incurred by the artist.

5) Public sessions:
As a community-rooted creative hub, HAUS KCH places strong value on sharing knowledge and skills with our local community. To enrich this exchange, we ask each Resident Artist to host at least two public sessions: this could be a talk, workshop, film screening, or open studio, or any format that sparks connection and learning. If your application is successful, we will be in touch with you to discuss this further.
