ABOUT THE FOUNDER

 Zayla Odell is the founder of Soretica and here’s what she has to say: 

As a young Nigerian who has had to battle with the day-to-day stress of going to work, or attending to businesses and personal life issues, I realized that if someone offered me some form of touch whether it was a hug, cuddle, massage, or holding of hands, it was going to make my day which is what birthed this brand.

I knew people who also wanted this but were too afraid to ask. So I took a survey by first offering free massages to my close friends after I had watched some YouTube videos before my training. I noticed one similar response from everyone I had offered a massage to, IT WAS ALL HAPPINESS and this feeling of relief I can never forget. So I decided to start a business to offer massage sessions. Of course, I didn’t want a regular brand and I wanted more, and more was to offer tantric and sensual massages alongside Swedish massage cause truthfully, I know lots of people who always want this kind of touch, either personally, for a friend, spouse or couples together. They all wanted a massage but always wanted more, so I decided to give more with my brand instead of just the basics of massage. 

Soretica started as a mobile brand but it came with its own challenges. I took a break to rebrand and re-strategize and at that moment, I realized that there’s a demand for more, humans will always crave touch, and want to feel loved and seen and held! And that’s what birthed my cuddle therapy brand so I decided to merge massage and cuddle therapy together although these two therapies are INDEPENDENT OF THE OTHER. 

I’m quite unsure if we are the first cuddle brand in Nigeria or west Africa but I’m very sure that whatever my brand will bring to our clients will always be the best of service! 
As someone who loves to cuddle, I know there are tons of people who love cuddles too, and want to be held. That’s why I added cuddle therapy as one of my touch/healing treatments. 
I know my choice of business and profession raises lots of brows and lots of questions, but it’s something I enjoy doing and in other to do it right I had to take courses and training in other to give the best! If I can feel absolutely happy after I get a massage or cuddle then there are a ton of people out there who want the same! Research proves how helpful touch therapy is and those are all the benefits Soretica wants to give to its clients.

More services will come up in the future but for now, SORETICA will be known as a massage and cuddle therapy brand.
