Two more refurbished trucks have landed on site - numbers three and four of twelve - and they're already proving popular with our operators. While we were on site filming for a new marketing campaign, we caught up with some of the crew who bring the place to life. What stood out? A genuinely welcoming, down-to-earth and supportive culture with a strong team spirit. It's hot as you'd expect but there's a lap pool to cool off after shift. The camp has been around for a while, with lots of green spaces and a new batch of rooms is about to be ready for the crew. With flights landing and departing directly from camp, there's less travel at the start and end of swing. Underground operations at Macmahon are stepping up a gear with the arrival of the Sandvik Rhino 100 Gen3.2, or simply, the “Rhino.” 🦏 Delivered late 2025 and now onsite at Tropicana, the Rhino has already completed its first holes, bringing increased capability to our vertical development and slot-rising operations. ⚠️ The result: improved productivity, safer working conditions, and better outcomes for our underground clients. As part of the rollout, our operators and maintenance crews have completed specialised training, building new skills to match this advanced technology. The Macmahon Indonesia Team has successfully completed the first concrete-lined shaft - Return Air Rise - at the Poboya Underground Gold Mine - a critical component of a mine's primary ventilation system. Delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and entirely on day shifts, this achievement highlights the skill, collaboration, and dedication of our expatriate and National crews. Next up: the Fresh Air Rise shaft will deliver clean, breathable air.
