Joy rises
Over her sunshine mind
Basking in her own delicious
And delicate wandering
Flights of fancy
Flowing through her veins
Dawn is breaking
And with it, all the brokenness
That never was

Who is she
Waltzing in her yellow coat,
Pretending it’s not raining,
Drawing on sunshine
From within
To lighten and brighten
Her days

When we make the time and commitment to do our inner work, we create a new perspective for ourselves.
We may see the gray skies and no longer lament the rain.
We may decide that dancing in the rain is perfectly acceptable thing to do.
We may find sunshine and warm in the most mundane or obscure things – most especially from within our own selves.
That’s where the magic is anyway.
How are you finding light from within today?

Sunshine shining
And the clouds are clearing
From her mind full of wonder
And sometimes sadness
Looking for the light
Always looking for the light
Emanating from within

Sometimes the sunshine is all I need to feel just a little bit better.
Especially when it’s been stormy and the rays are peeking through the clouds like spotlights on all the freshly nurtured places.
It’s those lingering gray days that make tough days tougher.
That’s probably why I love summer so much.
And on those other days I have to remind myself that there light is inside me.
Inside each of us.
We can’t control the sun, but we can access our own light when we need it.
And if we don’t know how, most of us can learn how to access it.
So that we have a touchstone on those gray days.
A place to come home and find rejuvenation that doesn’t require anyone or anything else.
How are you finding your light today?

The Angels remind us that the sun is always shining behind the clouds, and the rain always washes away the debris of a cluttered life. An open mind feels this truth and recognizes its power to transform.

Wide open spaces
Lure us to places of infinite possibility
Where our minds dare not go
And our hearts already abide
Lingering in the morning dew
Basking in the sunshine
Crawling through the grasses
To find each tiny creature of inspiration
Each is a gift,
A treasure,
A moment of grace
Each embodies the newness of spring
And the familiarity of summer
Where narrow minds open to new realities,
New worlds,
New faces
Like an infant who knows nothing but connection
The wide open spaces bring us back again

Like first snow falling on autumn leaves
still strewn across the ground,
this cold permeates the places
that still long to feel sunshine’s warmth
Have patience, dear one,
for the winter of your being serves it purpose,
it devours the crackling debris of your spirit,
blankets you with pure white blessings,
offers deep rest as you piece yourself back together
Then when the sun appears in your soul once more, rise up
through the wild torrents of lusty spring
make your desperation into a masterpiece,
hang it on the walls of courage and perseverance,
honor its gift of strength, always ready
for the next fallen snow

Like a diamond in the sky
My heart lingers,
Luminous and rising
Into its divine power and presence
Capable of turning all difficulties
Into blessings
One by one, peeled away like onion skin
Each pungent new layer exposed,
Eyes burning with bittersweet reminiscence
Shining in
Shining on
Shining into my fullest potential

A bright new shiny day awaits,
as does a whole host of feathered friends.
Go seize it!
Bask in the perfection
that is sunshine’s warmth on your face,
newness creeping into every little space.
Allow them to support you, lift you up,
conquer the demons in your heart

Standing in sunlight, no one can see the scars.
In sunlight, everyone is beautiful, we all shine.
Rays of light cover the pain, make us come alive
to all that is. The sunbeam is our spotlight,
our own moment to be as we all were made:
whole, unbroken, and loved eternally.
