Something to point back to when we feel ungrounded or unsafe.
Something that reminds us of where we’ve been, and where we’re headed.
It could be an object, a touchstone, something physical to hold onto.
It could be something intangible yet inspirational. An idea, a quote, a memory.
It might be something bigger than us, like the sky, the stars, or our faith.
It can be many things.
I have a large selenite heart stone that I hold when I need focus or grounding.
I am enamored with sunrises and sunsets, especially those really magical, awe-inspiring arrays of light and clouds and color.
And my most grounding place is the ocean. Any body of water will do in a pinch, but nothing makes me feel more connected, centered, or meaningful in a world that often seems like the opposite of these feelings than the ocean.
Every day, I wake up with what feels like a million thoughts and ideas.
And every day, I try my best to sort through them. To identify the ones that are urgent, the ones that are important, the ones that are fun, the ones that will guide me and move me forward.
Because they’re all needed.
It’s no easy task. It’s rather exhausting really.
But I wouldn’t know how or want to be another way. A million thoughts means there’s a chance for one or two to become reality.
Her story is hers And hers alone No apology deep enough Can undo her power No dimming of its flame Will make her disappear Her light, a beacon Guiding her own path Through the solemn night
What unfamiliar path Will guide her actions What unseen vision Will inspire her thoughts What unheard whisper Will embody her voice Until new is made old again
The Angels remind us that to ponder and wonder and feel inside our hearts to that space, that knowledge, which resides and guides and reminds us we are never alone.
