What if to share her true self
In ways that she never imagined
What if she were to put aside
Her fears
And recognize her greatness

What if to share her true self
In ways that she never imagined
What if she were to put aside
Her fears
And recognize her greatness

And just like that
A flash
Her greatness captured
In a moment of truth
That only she can see
And that’s enough
She’s enough
And she carries on

The end,
Only a signaling
Of a new
Beginning,
A start,
A transition
What feels like loss
Is the bridge
To the next phase,
Different, true
Yet something new,
Exciting
Sad and lonely may persist,
May ride the tide,
Until it seems
The only reality
Left
Yet we know,
On the side,
Beyond the darkness,
On our backs,
Is our forever home
The next wave in the ripple,
Our legacy,
We know,
Though we despair,
For it is in us,
This greatness,
This light

Majestic old man
Sits in the corner
Silently he watches
Then strolls wordlessly away
What does he think of me?
What advice can he share?
Like autumn leaves falling from the trees
Silently he speaks about the cycles that guide us
His eyes, wise and sad
His words, symbolic
And with one flash of greatness
He’s off
