The welling up inside
From deep within the darkest places
Which crave for light and beauty and peace
Gathering all this life has to offer
Into moments which propel her forward

That day when winter comes again,
Its chill palpable in words spoken,
Actions once carried out
Only behind closed doors
Frosty breath on necks
Of those already so cold and forgotten
And only those with souls of fire
And flame can burn away
These walls and thaw this winter’s chill,
On tongues and hearts and hands,
Burning from a place deep inside,

Deeper
I go deeper,
Into the depths
Where my daily thoughts
Dare not goLest they become fraught,
Lost at sea among a deluge of awareness,
Submerged in truths bigger than this small mind,
More profound than this one life,
Drowning in wisdom so deep
I fear I may never again
See the light of dayYet I am pulled from the depths,
Revived by the breath of life
With promises to share my truth,
To live as my true self
And bring others to the deep,
Help them submerge in their own awareness,
