AquaPhobia - A First-Person Poetic Artwork
AquaPhobia, developed by MJStudio, is a short but immersive first-person poetic artwork that connects the inner psychological landscapes to exterior ecosystems. The game begins in the subterranean mud tunnels of Redhook, Brooklyn. The player is guided by a morphing water microbe on a journey through roots, water, plants, and sub-city infrastructure. The microbe recites a poem that details a troubled break-up between itself and the viewer.

Originally made in VR in 2017, AquaPhobia was released in 2023 as a first-person poetic experience. It is the first part of a series of published works by Jakob Kudsk Steensen.
