- Reviewed in the United States on April 10, 2013The item came exactly how it was described. And it came in a reasonable amount of time as well.
This screen is perfect for modding if your into that, thats what i used it for. Thought its a play station screen, it works just as well with any console.
If you are going to use this for modding, this is what you MUST KNOW!
The motherboard inside is circular, about the same size as the plastic casing for it.
You MUST have the same type of console, a PAL screen wont connect to a NTSC console and vice versa.
There are hidden screws were the speakers are. You should get a flat head screw driver, and carefully peel off the speaker cover, DO NOT peirce or damage the speaker underneath if you plan to use them! Under each speaker cover is 2 screws.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 31, 2017If you can find one for a decent price, I highly recommend this. If you enjoy going back and playing your old PS1 games, this is the way to go. Yes, you can play them on your high definition TV through your ps1/ps2/ps3 console, but the picture quality will not be as good as on this thing. Its almost as if this thing gets the most out of your PlayStation when it comes to video output. The picture comes out really clear, smooth, and colorful. Its definitely a cool piece to have in your collection if you're a PlayStation fan. If you can't find one for a reasonable price, I recommend playing downloaded PS1 games on a PSP or PS VITA.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 27, 2017It was everything I had hoped for and then some!
I am very happy with the product, I might even buy another one, just because it works so well, with the PSOne!
So this is now two weeks later, and I bought another one! And this second one was just delivered, and it doesn’t even turn on. My console has power but the LCD screen is completely dead!!! And, I bought it from the same people, you would think that they check these as they go out to be shipped off. But I guess not! I am so unhappy with this second purchase!! Now what do I do??
- Reviewed in the United States on December 21, 2019The ps1 came in perfect condition cosmetically. But the screen is damaged. Its colors are all disorted and flickering - 1 star. I've had it for a few weeks now but it doesn't correct itself. Console works perfect. No reply from seller-1 star. So half the unit doesnt work. Decided to keep it due to condition of unit and fix elsewhere.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 31, 2016Great screen but it had a crack in the back when it arrived so cant give it 5 stars....Still works fine.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 24, 2015I bought the screen from Total Console for my husband. He has a few old PlayStation games he likes, and wants to be able to play now and again, so I figured this would be the best way allow him to do that and not have to have it hooked to the TV all the time. I had some difficulty, but it was not the fault of Total Console. Rather, there were some things I had to learn along the way that I will pass along that may help someone else.
1. The screen is touchy. It may not work with the standard PSOne adapter (model SCPH-113). You may need the adapter that was specially made for this screen (it has a little more juice), which is model SCPH-121. I found one on eBay. When using the 113 adapter, I would get sound, and shadows, but the screen was really dark and you could not make anything out.
2. The screen is fussy. Even after obtaining the correct adapter, I was getting the shadows. Total Console was extremely helpful, and I was setting up a return when, on a whim, I plugged it into the wall (I had prior used an extension cord and a power bar - the outlets in my house are oddly placed). It lit right up. I was amazed. As long as it's plugged into a wall, it works great. (Our screen doesn't work correctly with the 113 adapter, even plugged into the wall - a google search showed that this is sometimes an issue, other times not).
Can't say enough about the good service from Total Console. And the screen is pretty cool, and the games look nice on it. Sound is fantastic.
