Another great Amazon Basics product...
After switching from a corner desk with a column at the back and side panels where I could hide cables, bar socket etc. to a standing desk I needed a solution with 7+ sockets to fix under the desk. This unusual 9 socket product fitted the bill. I first ordered some other brand but that turned up damaged. Returned it and looked again and thought the Amazon Basics one was worth trying. And it was... Pros: - solid build quality - white light from the switch on it isn't too bright so doesn't illuminate under the desk too much - plenty of sockets with space around them. Only my speakers heatsink chunky power supply plug had issues fitting beside others, and even though it's up side down it hadn't moved an inch. Socket is holding it securely Cons: - Unlike some similar products it's doesn't include any built in usb/usb-c/usb PD sockets so need to have some adapters plugged in which can look less tidy if not hidden away. - The cable comes out of the opposite end from what I ideally wanted as needed it to exit down desk leg on the right. So had to have device plugs twisted around and plugged in from the side closest to me under the desk to manage this. But that was particular to my use of it and not really a con.

    Works straight out of the box no installation required. Screw it to the wall or whatever and plug into a suitable socket. Solid metal construction not cheap plastic. The sockets are spaced further apart than usual - very useful for power packs and chargers which often overlap adjacent sockets.

    The quality and steadiness of this extension is superb. We purchased multiple unit units for use in a laboratory setting. The functionality is perfect. Extremely easy to use. And the best part of always it suits an industrial setting very well saving each site money by shopping or Amazon basics electricals. One other things to mention is the Packaging, which you would not expect to be so good for a basic level product, but it is the product arrived in perfect condition neatly inside it’s box with protective measures. We have tested one with multiple appliances and It matches the stated power levels. I don’t think we could write much more about this if we tried.

    This Amazon Basics 9-outlet surge protector is exactly what I needed for my workstation. The build quality is excellent – solid metal housing and a sturdy feel overall.
