Product description

Bring back childhood memories and introduce “the original guessing game” to your kids and grandkids. With the Guess Who? game, each player chooses a mystery character card and then using yes or no questions, they try to figure out the other player's mystery person. This edition features character art and most character names not seen in other editions such as hat-wearing Sam, Amy with glasses, and Al with the big white beard! Challenge opponents to a series of games, or up the challenge by not asking if the mystery person is a boy or a girl until the third turn. The Guess Who? game is a great indoor activity for kids ages 6 and up. Hasbro Gaming and all related terms are trademarks of Hasbro.

    It's different than the original not just in how the characters look, but in balance. It used to be that there were five of each thing... five women, five dark skinned, five glasses, five blond, brown, silver haired, etc. Now it's a lot more balanced. This game should be easy to play for most people. I suffer from a condition where I cannot tell races apart, and am slightly colour blind ,as in I have trouble telling darks and lights of a colour apart, so we have to avoid using that aspect of the game, but it still is very playable despite those, and we have a blast with it, over and over again. I also love that there is no way to cheat at this game, something we are trying to teach a little one here not to do.

    Same game that I played as a kid in the early 90s, only with updated characters with more current names and looks. This newer version has about 50% males % females as compared to the version decades ago with only 5 girls.
    I like that the characters are of different races, have varying hair styles, and both genders have dyed hair and jewellery. It allows for more question options, and also inherently teaches acceptance of diversity to those playing (like my 3 and 5 year old who enjoy the game).

    Good game for ages 6 and up I would say. My 5 year old can play on her own but doesn’t quite get strategy yet. My three year old likes playing too but does best being on someone’s “team”.

    Only complaint is the quality. Game boards and character cards are much thinner/ flimsier quality than I had hoped. Unfortunately this just seems to be the way many games are made these days.
