      This is the second globe that I've owned. The first one lasted about 4 years and was in the garden all season. I replaced the lthium battery once, but the unit just gave out. I think $40 for 4 years of enjoyment is a total value. The globe has multiple modes. You can leave the lumination as white or choose multiple colors and program it to transition from one color to another. Totally mesmerizing!👍

Also - I leave the globe set on white, but every few days it spontaneously changes to switching from color to color through the rainbow. I switch it back to white, and it stays there for a few days before doing it again. It does seem to be good quality, though I've had it only a month it is still working fine.
