Sturdy, unusual toy
Learning resources is a major maker of educational toys, and these have the high quality and sturdiness I expect from them. They include a booklet of ideas for ways to use this toy for fine motor skill, color matching, language development, and emotional skills. There are four little avocados in a plastic tray. Each one has two emoji faces on its pit. My little granddaughter love to open and close things, and the avocados can be used for color matching as well. Once they're open, you can spin the pit of each avocado and see which face shows up. Kids can identify the emotion it expresses, copy the face, and learn to name the emotions. Emojis are part of kids' lives now, and this is a fun way to learn about them. It's also a great way to practice naming emotions, and to develop empathy.

Das Spielzeug wird in einer stabilen Pappschachtel geliefert.
Darauf sind Produktbilder und -informationen aufgedruckt, und so weiß man direkt womit man es hier zu tun hat.
Die Schachtel kann problemlos weiterhin als Aufbewahrungsbox für das Spielzeug-Set benutzt werden.
Im Lieferumfang befinden sich:
1x gelbe Schale zum Ablegen der Avocados
4x Avocado aus Kunststoff (aus 2 einzelnen Teilen)
1x Gebrauchsanleitung (mehrsprachig)
🤍 Material und Verarbeitung
Alle Elemente des Spielzeugs bestehen aus robustem Kunststoff.
Die Verarbeitung ist tadellos. Ich kann keine scharfen Kanten, abstehenden Grate, Risse, oder sonstigen Verarbeitungsfehler feststellen.
Die Verletzungsgefahr für die Kleinen ist also minimal.
🤍 Funktion
Dieses Spielzeug ist nicht nur ansprechend gestaltet und ordentlich verarbeitet, sondern es vereint auch mehrere pädagogisch wertvolle Elemente und sollte sich so positiv auf die Entwicklung von Kleinkindern auswirken.
Zusätzlich zu dem Spielspaß, den die bunten, kindgerecht gestalteten Avocado-Hälften bieten, gibt es hier einige Lern-Möglichkeiten:
• durch öffnen, schließen, und halten der einzelnen Teile werden Tastsinn, Greifkraft, und Motorik gefördert. Zusätzlich können die Avocadokern-Kugeln gedreht werden.
• jede Avocado ist außen grün und hat innen drin eine andere Farbe, sodass Kinder lernen können sie zu unterscheiden und die Hälften wieder korrekt zusammenzufügen.
• auf jedem drehbaren Avocadokern befinden sich 2 verschiedene Gesichter im Emoji-Stil.
Durch die Konfrontation mit unterschiedlichen Gesichtsausdrücken sollen Kleinkinder in ihrer sozio-emotionalen Entwicklung unterstützt werden.
Dieser Lern-Aspekt Bedarf natürlich der unterstützenden Einwirkung durch einen Erwachsenen oder ältere Geschwister.
🤍 Fazit
Ein nettes, robustes Lernspielzeug, das Kinder nicht gleich komplett überfordert.
Es bleibt längerfristig spannend und relevant für Babys: während am Anfang vielleicht nur das Greifen, Festhalten, und Anlutschen der Avocados, und die Rotation der Kugeln interessant erscheinen, können dann irgendwann die Farben unterschieden, und einige Monate/Jahre später auch die Mimik thematisiert werden.
Für verhältnismäßig wenig Geld (12,00€ zum Zeitpunkt dieser Rezension), bekommt man hier ein nettes, robustes und sauber verarbeitetes Set an lustigen Avocados!
Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit diesem Lernspielzeug und denke dass die meisten Babys damit ihre Freude haben werden.
