A Random Variable is the home to my thoughts on all-things-ecnomics. I write on all topics of economics, along with the occasional op-ed. I use this blog as a way to capture my own explanations of some concepts, and also as an aid to anyone who might like to learn from me or know my thoughts on different happenings. I often share notes from my classes or my own research here. It also serves as a way for me to expand my thoughts on ongoing research in Economics, especially Environmental and Resource Economics, which is my area of research. Occasionally, I pick up an important research paper and explain it in plain english (with maths) for a reader.
