David Nalley is Director of Developer Experience at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he leads efforts to improve how developers interact with AWS services and technologies. He brings over two decades of experience in technology to his role. Nalley previously served as President of the Apache Software Foundation (ASF) for 4 years. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Internet Security Research Group, the organization behind Let’s Encrypt, and is the governing board chair of the Agentic AI Foundation. At AWS, Nalley works to connect cloud technologies with developer needs and strengthen relationships between AWS and the developer community. His organization focuses on ensuring AWS services meet real-world developer requirements while advancing strategic initiatives that benefit both AWS and the broader developer ecosystem.

Nick Cooper is a senior member of technical staff at OpenAI working with a particular focus on scalable patterns to make life easy while iterating quickly. He is the technical lead at OpenAI for protocols, MCP Core maintainer and AAIF governing board member. He comes from a brief stint in start-ups after a lifetime in big tech. If forced to share a personal hobby he’ll tell you it’s woodworking but really it’s cooking.

Chris DiBona is a world authority on developer ecosystems and open source software, currently serving as Vice President in the Office of the CTO at Microsoft, focusing on open ecosystems. He has been an advisor to the UK based think tank RUSI since 2016. Notably during his 18-year tenure at Google, he founded and ran the open source programs office, spun up Google’s first developer relations efforts and helped across Alphabet entities including Waymo, Intrinsic, and Verily. Prior to Google, he was an editor at Slashdot and co-edited the seminal anthology Open Sources: Voices from the Open Source Revolution. He holds a Master’s in Software Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.

Brendan Irvine-Broque is Senior Director of Product at Cloudflare, where he has been a leading voice on the evolution of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) from local developer tooling into secure, remote infrastructure for the next generation of the internet. He has a diverse professional background spanning engineering, design, marketing, and management, and previously held roles as Engineering Manager at VSCO and Intercom, and co-founded Awesomebox (Y Combinator W14). He holds a B.A. in Linguistics from the University of California, Santa Cruz.

As a Technical Product Manager for AI Platforms in Bloomberg’s Office of the CTO, Ania Musial guides the strategy direction for AI infrastructure – the foundational systems that enable Bloomberg product teams to build, evaluate, and operate production-grade AI systems. She leads a team of technical product managers responsible for Bloomberg’s AI platform strategy, working closely in partnership with Engineering and UX organizations to advance the capabilities that power the company’s most sophisticated AI applications. Their work spans initiatives to elevate the end-to-end developer experience across Bloomberg’s agentic AI infrastructure, optimization and performance tooling, and cloud-native MLOps systems, as well as human-in-the-loop workflows that integrate domain expertise into the AI development lifecycle through annotation, remediation, and quality-assurance processes.

Manik Surtani is Head of Open Source in the Office of the CTO at Block, Inc., where he leads open source strategy and culture. Over a long tenure at Block, he has held a range of leadership and individual contributor roles, including VP of Platform Engineering for Cash App, working on large-scale, fault-tolerant financial systems. He is also a co-founder and governing board member of the Agentic AI Foundation, where he focuses on the role of open standards in shaping the future of AI systems. Earlier in his career, Manik worked at Red Hat, contributing to and leading widely adopted open source infrastructure projects.

Zhong Wu is VP of Applied ML Engineering at Shopify, leading initiatives across Unified Assistants, Unified Recommendations, and Merchant Optimization to turn advanced AI models into reliable, production systems for merchants and buyers. He brings 15+ years of AI and machine learning leadership experience across Shopify, Microsoft, and DataVisor, spanning recommendation systems, optimization platforms, computer vision, image search, and fraud detection. He holds a PhD in Computer Science and a bachelor’s degree in Automation from Tsinghua University.
