Your Year-End Gifts Are Powering Our Bali Rainy Season Rapid Response and Were Matched to $50,000

During Indonesia’s rainy season, monsoon rains overwhelm local waste systems and push enormous volumes of plastic into rivers and out to sea. Thanks to the generosity of our year-end supporters, Giving Season contributions were matched up to $50,000 and directly fueled our rapid response efforts on the ground.

Those gifts enabled us to deploy additional cleanup crews, strengthen river interception systems, and expand open-ocean recovery using donor-funded vessels like the Dugong, pictured here.

Last rainy season, donor support helped remove an additional 200,000 pounds of pollution from the Bali Strait. This season is actively underway through April, with expanded operations working every day to meet or exceed that impact.
