  retail is hard. don't get me wrong, every job has its own set of problems but RETAIL is worse. and yes this is my opinion but it's also a fact according to me. as someone who's worked retail as soon as they were able to, working the past 4 YEARS (oh my gosh) at various companies really teaches you a thing or two about not only how businesses work, but also how toxic work environments mixed with high expectations mixed with low wages really makes for a disaster of a time. of course this is my personal experience and not every person who has worked retail is gonna agree. today we are specifically talking about the time a retail employee loathes the most, holiday season. just typing it out gives me the chills... the horror..  just to start off, i'm forever grateful for the jobs i've been hired for, and it helped me grow as a person. i've met some amazing people through my jobs. yada yada yada. anyways. people act crazy during the holidays. it's literally tr...

why do people hate tramp stamps?!

      so yes.. i do have a tramp stamp (don't tell my dad), but when i told several people i wanted it, i got sooo many mixed reactions. "why would you ever want that?" or "that's ugly," which yeah i guess personal preference but HAVE YOU SEEN A GOOD TRAMP STAMP?! they are so GORGEOUS and sexy and cunty! so today i'll be touching on the brief history of tramp stamps and my personal opinion on them.       let's start at the beginning, the tramp stamp is formally known as a "lower back tattoo" but garnered the nickname throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s (Edens 2019). sources say the popularization of tramp stamps started in California after multiple tattoo studios saw a spike in popularity (Edens 2019). while the exact origin of the term is unclear and can be credited to different people, its meaning was always meant to be derogatory and demeaning to women (wow, so everything is really rooted in racism and/or misogyny, surprising). wom...

      this is so exciting! i am beyond thrilled to have started this blog and hopefully it reaches and inspires someone! here's a quick introduction and diving into more about me.  me at college! my name is ayriel and i am currently a junior in college! my major is psychology and my minors are in public relations and mass communications. i love the color pink, if it was a person i would 100% marry her. snoopy is my favorite cartoon character and i have a tattoo of him on my leg! speaking of tattoos, i have 5 tattoos and one face piercing. i am hoping to get more tattoos and i am open to any suggestions! i'm really into fashion, conscious consumption, and bettering myself. my current hyperfixations are sea lions, hot chocolate, and sweatshirts. i'm so excited to share my thoughts and knowledge with everyone!
